COSTUME – WHITE NIGHT GOWN. – A white cloak/gown is assosciated with someone who in mental, or in a mental hospital, and the colour has been used on purpose to make him seem mad.

This shoot was located at a large property where ‘The Buisness man’ (Nick Turgoose) is seen revealing a different side to his personality than what we see in scene 1. I made the decision to use the billiard room as it looked the plushest room and had good light for the camera. My use of space and creative thinking helped me to capture some quality shots. On the whole the day was a sucess.

Note for next shoot: Develop a better efficiancy when changing set, costume etc.

Todays shoot was at Coombe Court in Pershore. This scene is intended to establish the status and persona of the ‘Business man’ character. In this scene we see the ‘Business man’ driving down long country lanes in a Jaguar XK8. He pulls up on a driveway to reveal large property. This shoot was very sucessfull and I captured some nice visual shots, the only let down was the time consumption taken by passing traffic, however our time allocation was not exceeded for this shoot.

Note for next shoot: To maintain the focus kept today.

FILMING DAY ONE, SCENE 6

LOCATION – STRATFORD UPON AVON

CAST – PAUL WATKINS

CREW – KATHERINE POYNER, SAM HOPKINS AND MARK HOPKINS.

EQIPMENT –  1xAKG C1000 mic collection, 1xManfrotto HDV501/503 Video Tripod (Large) collecti, 1xMarantz PMD 660 Collection, 1xSony PD150 Collection & 1xS-video cable collection

PROPS – SPEED BOAT

COSTUME – MAGICIAN CLOAK, PLAIN BLACK TROUSERS AND T SHIRT, RED CONTACT LENSES.

Today we shot scene six, this scene was located in Stratford Upon-Avon. This time we were filming the ‘Magician Character’ (Paul Watkins) coming down a river on a boat. I feel that we were well prepared for this scene as we could travel light, only requireing the camera and tripod. The boat hire was very busy as it was a sunny day so the time factor of shooting this scene with a consistancy in light could have been a problem. There were many retakes due to people passing by, however we successfully completed the scene in time.

Note for next shoot: If travelling to a public location, find out the quietest periods of the day.
