I think that choosing appropate locations is very important when making a film in order to make the scene belivable and look good. I have always had in my head a clear idea of the type of location i need for each scene, and i am doing some research by going round and seeking permisssion at various locations.  Our business man character is a very weathly man, and therefore we need locations such as a big house,  and the scene just wouldnt look right if we cant get one. Below are the locations i have managed to sort out.

49 WOODEND DRIVE, BARNT GREEN, BIRMINGHAM (SCENE 1)

This house is a mansion and is perfect for filming. In our film it will be the business man’s house. We will see the opening scene take place in the sitting room as as many other shots. An episode of Dalziel and Pascoe was shot at this houose becuase its so beautiful. The owner of the house has also said we can film our actor getting in and out of his rolls royce.

These are some photographs from inside the house.

COOMBE COURT- SCENE 4

Filmed in and around Coombe Court in Pershore. This is a mansion with very smart looking grounds, which is a very good location to film our business man driving his expenive car for scene5,

RIVER AVON, STARTFORD UPON AVON

This is the perfect location, for our shot of my magician on the speed boat. I have equired about boat hire, and i know it costs £15 per hour.

KINGSLEA DRIVE, SOLIHULL-

This is to film our bathroom suicide scene. An ideal location becuase of the good sized plain bathroom.

BAGNELL ROAD, KINGS HEATH, BIRMINGHAM

This is also a good location to film our bathroom suicide scene. An ideal location becuase its a good size, and niceley decorated.

THE GRAND UNION CANAL, WARWICK-

This is where i want to film the final scene, because there is a long stretch of canal. and i have allreayd have permission to film there.
